Six Sigma Certification – Yellow Belt or Black Belt?

Six Sigma Certification – Yellow Belt or Black Belt?

So you‘ve decided to take your Six Sigma Black Belt certification and get started, right? Well, before you do, it’s probably a good idea for you to take one of the basic Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification courses. Those are offered at local technical colleges or even online from various vendors, like Certified Six Sigma and Black Belt training providers. The important thing here is to ensure that you do not waste your money on something that will not really help you achieve your goals, unless of course if you want to earn a little extra money in your spare time by helping people with Six Sigma online certification courses.

Why should you take my six sigma certification class? There are many reasons why anyone would be interested in taking a six sigma certification course, whether it’s to improve their own business and bottom line, or to simply be able to certify other people to do the same. The most common reasons for taking such a course is to enhance the product or service quality, lower costs, and maximize profit. In other words, any company, which is looking to improve its bottom line, should consider enrolling in a Six Sigma program.

So how do you choose the right Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training course? You’ll need to evaluate what you hope to accomplish after enrolling in a course. Will you want to be certified for Six Sigma Black Belt? Or will you be wanting to become a Six Sigma Green Belt? The correct course choice will depend on your own needs.

I started taking Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification in 2021. I was an entry-level Six Sigma Specialist, and I needed an upgrade. Going through a typical certification course, which usually take three to six weeks, won’t help you meet your objectives, if you’re a beginner. It also will not give you the necessary background or understanding to create an improvement plan on your own. Yellow Belt certification is definitely great, but you should not feel that you must complete this course and be certified. After all, everyone needs a trainer once in their life!

If you have taken Six Sigma Green Belt training, you may be wondering why you need certification in addition to Yellow Belt certification. The truth is, there are many benefits of Six Sigma Green Belt training that make certification unnecessary. Green Belts will get you into the best Six Sigma training available, but they do not have the full knowledge and experience needed to work on the projects. By taking certification, you will gain access to the most expert training available and be able to help your supervisors and customers immediately. Your employers will want you to have Six Sigma Green Belt certification, because you’ll be more effective and provide greater customer service.

The unfortunate downside to certification is that it can take a long time to obtain. If you’re a small business with limited resources, then certification might not be an option for you. You might also find that companies are reluctant to hire someone who has certification, and they might view you as a liability instead of a valuable employee.

If you have the ability to pay for the classes, certification is a great choice. Six Sigma Green Belt training is much more affordable than Yellow Belt training. However, if you do not have the funds to pay for the classes and do not have a supervisor who is willing to stand up in front of a group and talk about process improvements, then certification is probably not a good idea. Do what you can to find out what Six Sigma Green Belt training costs and do everything you can to reduce those costs before you get certification.

The best managers and supervisors will receive Six Sigma Black Belt certification, which also is a great investment of money and time. Yellow Belt certification is great, but Black Belt certification is superior because it will also cover additional topics and help your employees to learn new skills as well. Six Sigma Black Belt training will make your company more efficient and will give your employees the confidence they need to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities. If you choose to get Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, do all you can to make sure your employees receive the best training available. Your company will benefit from the profits brought on by increased efficiency and improved productivity.
